“The whole life of the individual is nothing but the process of giving birth to their self; indeed, we should be fully born when we die.” —Erich S. Fromm, Ph.D.
You are reading these words because you are at least contemplating reaching out to a trained professional for assistance. As a humanistic, 30+ yr social work veteran, and Gen X’er (!), I’d urge you to refrain from selecting a psychotherapist solely from the words on a screen! The most efficacious therapeutic encounter is always about alchemy or what social workers refer to as “goodness-of-fit.” Please feel encouraged to call me directly at (706) 461-1238 for a free 15-minute consultation whereby you and I can jointly decide if our therapeutic alliance would produce the healing you seek. In any event, I wish for you what I have desired for every client that I’ve joined with since 1992: May your heart find healing, may your mind find quiet, & may your soul realize that your essence is unique in all the world and was created out of love.
